Grand Bazaar 2017

For the 2017 edition, the theme of the exhibition is “New species – New tribes”.
The public will be able to discover unpublished pieces, which are the result of the daily work done by the participants in their workshops.
For this new edition, the walls of the Grand Curtius museum will welcome unpublished and original pieces. In addition to this exhibition, the partners have planned free entertainment for adults and children.

Pierre Devreux exhibition

Born in Brussels in 1955, Pierre Devreux is a self-taught visual artist. He began his career in the 1980s. A painter and a sculptor, the artist – who is somewhat of a loner – combines his creativity with his perspective on the world in his work. A committed artist, Pierre Devreux questions the lack of dialogue and interactions between human beings.

Gallery of remarkable women

Saturday 17 June at 4pm will see the inauguration of the “Galleries of women” exhibition, which is offered by the Soroptimist of Liège at the Grand Curtius museum. The exhibition will pay tribute to some remarkable women from our country. 70 portraits for 70 years of action in favour of women! The choice was made based on their profession (which was exceptional for their time), their charisma and their personality.

Produced for the magazine "Kult, Carnet de Voyage Sénégal", Angie Pir's collages, Jemmy Lamar's illustrations and Xavier Lozet's photos tell the story of Côte FM, a community radio station in Nianing (Petite Côte in Senegal). However, these works reveal much more than a trip; they are the reflection of an adventure that leaves no-one unscathed, of an experience that is so overwhelming that it has to be shared.
